Backstory to Ephesians

The letter to Ephesians is addressed to the church at Ephesus, but there's a good chance it was also intended for the churches in other nearby towns.

The city of Ephesus was one of the largest cities in the Roman Empire and dominated the life of Asia Minor. Even in the ruins today the signs of wealth and prominence are everywhere.
