Paul wrote 1 Timothy from Macedonia most likely sometime around 64 or 65 A.D.
The letter is addressed to Paul’s long-time colleague in ministry, Timothy, who is currently overseeing the church in Ephesus.
There is quite a bit of modern debate concerning whether Paul actually wrote the letter or not, but from the late first century through the mid 1700’s the consensus of the church was that Paul actually wrote it.
